In a post on the UserLand Blog, Jake calls out another one of the big
improvements in Manila 9.6 -- better email integration. The issue is
decreasing the number of steps you have to go through to
respond to the variety of different email notifications that Manila
provides -- when new stories, pictures or discussion group messages are
created, when they are edited, or when a comment is posted on a news
item.
Jake's post provides a screen shot showing how the content of the
comment notification email has been improved. The subject now includes
the title of the post being commented on, making it easier to follow
comment threads in your email client without having to open the
messages. Also, a permalink to the comment itself is included in the
body of the message, so you can link directly to the comment without
having to navigate to the comment window. Cool.
Look for the Manila 9.6 Beta to go up soon.
