Google Desktop and RSS I like the fact that, according to the article, they added a module for RSS feeds to the desktop search app., but the way they did it would drive me crazy. Since the aggregator has become part of my day, I'm pretty careful about who I subscribe to. This idea of automatically adding a feed that displays in a sidebar and then making me get rid of them through the "advanced menu" sounds pretty harsh. The other problem is that if ever there was a way for advertisers to abuse RSS, this would be it. My RSS feeds would simply be a constant stream of ads appearing in my desktop sidebar. I'll have to spend some more time to see if this is really the case. 11:45:18 AM
