GM uses its blog to clear the air over the "dispute" with the LA Times. The GM Fastlane Blog also contains a wealth of information about what they are doing in terms of product development, the response to criticism, and some really well thought out comments. (I've owned a GM car in the past and been pleasantly surprised as to the quality and reliability - drove the car for 3 years, and had nothing from a maintenance perspective but check-ups and oil changes. I have a 2006 model already picked out... here is another great post below:

Still Open for Business. By Bob Lutz GM Vice Chairman Some of you may remember my opening salvo for this blog back in January: "After years of reading and reacting to the automotive press it is finally my turn to put the shoe on the other foot. In the age of the Internet, anyone can be a journalist." What began as an experiment has become an important means of communication for GM. It has given me, personally, an opportunity to get much closer with you, the public. Often, I find your comments insightful and compelling. At times your criticism is harsh. But the fact that you have remained interested and continue to have faith in our efforts to develop great products is a worthy motivator.

Version Control gives managing editors using Manila the ability to create an audit trail of changes to posts (discussion group messages, stories, and pictures), preferences edited in the advanced preferences section that affect how the site looks and behaves, and changes made by some Manila plugins. Depending on the configuration, members and/or editors can use the audit trail to restore earlier versions of individual messages or preferences. To make it easy, new pages in the preferences and admin menus show versioning configuration, settings, and a snapshot of the recent audit trail. How cool is that...!
