Manila is rolling closer to its public beta. We've added a great new membership management feature to Manila 9.5 that allows you to enable a two-step member signup process, including email confirmation. When a new member signs up on your site, they are required to click a link in the confirmation email before becoming a member of the site.
Its been described as an important component for validating new members and this feature makes it harder for spammers to create fake members in order to post spam messages on your site. You can, of course, customize the appearance and text of the confirmation email.
