Revisiting Knowledge Management - Presence, Communication, Collaboration = FLOW.

I enjoyed Dina's piece and have tried to understand the relevance of blogs in the context of knowledge management (KM) software - even though, seriously, there is no such thing as knowledge management. What seems most meaningful is the ability to provide people with tools that allow them to communicate and collaborate freely.  Allowing this flow of information and sharing of experiences can enhance any organization's ability to make more informed decisions.  Individual blogs can enhance this process, but it seems that a central "hub" is necessary if the organization is really going to synthesize this new "knowledge" into something that can easily be found by people who were not part of the original process (such as in another office) and allow them the benefit of not having to reinvent the wheel.  Depending on how its set up, Manila could make an ideal "hub" for this flow on a department level.
