Email really is broken. When antispam company Postini says that it is now rejecting more than half of all attempts to send e-mail to its customers.  They are describing a situation in the larger universe where they provide email services for around 3,300 companies and roughly 5 million e-mail users. (their numbers). Here are some very scary numbers, "of the 47 percent of e-mail connections that are accepted, around 76 percent of the mail accepted are spam and one percent or two percent are viruses. Only 11 percent of the 10.75 billion SMTP connections the company receives each month are for legitimate e-mail messages," [Industry Standard]

avbloggers. Salon picked up on the aviation bloggers scooping bigpubs on Kerry's running mate choice. [Adam Curry: Adam Curry's Weblog]

Along with a zillion other details, of course the pilot noticed the new decals on the tail of the plane.

Techies want details. How exactly does Wi-Fi interfere with television? Are the networks using 2.4GHz for video somehow? 5GHz? I don't know, but I'm curious. The blanket "no" sounds strange to me.[The Doc Searls Weblog]

It makes no sense to me either. Kind of like the prohibition against using cell phone on airplanes. If your cell phone can bring down a 747 then many things have gone terribly wrong.
