I thought I would try to list some of the Manila updates compilation style. Apologise if its a repeat, but we are rather proud of the progress. Some are just bug fixes, others are more more important features and updates. Just a sampling of what's to come.
Static rendering bug fixes. Manila's static rendering feature now respects the #defaultFileName and #lowercasefilenames website framework directives. These changes increase compatibility with case-sensitive web servers, and web hosting services. [UserLand Software Updates]
Weather Report help page: expiration date. Radio's Weather Report help page now includes your serial number's expiration date. [UserLand Software Updates]
New feature: Password-protected RSS feeds. A new feature for Manila which makes it possible to subscribe to RSS feeds in Editors-Only Manila sites using any RSS news reader which supports HTTP authentication. [UserLand Software Updates]
Improvements to Admin box. Thanks to a suggestion from David Carter-Tod, we've changed the behavior of the admin box. Now when clicking the path field in the Admin box, the Set Path command is automatically selected. We also added label elements to the prompt for each radio-button, so in many browsers, clicking the text of the command will also select the radio-button for the command. [UserLand Software Updates]
News Item Department Enhancements. News item departments now each have their RSS 2.0 feeds. In addition, each Manila site now has a page which lists all the departments in the site, along with links to each department, and its RSS feed. [UserLand Software Updates]
New enclosure preferences, improved Help. A new preference was added to the Enclosures prefs page to choose where you want to save downloaded enclosures. The Help system was also updated to include some recently added macros/directives. [UserLand Software Updates]
