Steve has only been on the job 24 hours and he has some great accomplishments. Among them, he posted a letter to Radio users and has some great feedback. As he mentioned, the direction remains consistent: fix upstreaming, faster/better comment system, application stability. He has also released the Radio Roadmap. Recommended reading for those who want to know where Radio is headed.

I have only heard a few complaints from users about our price increase, but I am sensitive to the needs of educational users with limited budgets. True, its a $200 increase for both the academic and commercial licenses, but there are no restrictions on the number of sites or the number of authors.
More importantly for those that are price sensitive, we launched Hosted Manila, which actually decreases the price for Manila substantially if your needs are less grandiose and you don't want to purchase and manage a server. You get all the power of Manila and the pricing depends entirely on the your requirements. It looks like this:
- $99 per year for a ManilaSite subdomain site (e.g. www.manilasites.com/yoursitename)
- $299 per year for a smaller, single domain, medium traffic site with virtual hosting on your own domain
- $499 per year for a larger single domain, medium traffic site with virtual hosting on your own domain
You can find the details here. Its a great low cost option.
