In his article RSS Tipping Point, Steve Gillmore describes why RSS is rapidly approaching critical mass in the enterprise. Notification, subscription, presence, and awareness services are congealing into a real-time events-based information routing fabric that outpaces other existing legacy channels. Such channels include email, developer conferences, print publications, and broadcast media.

One of UserLand servers is down at the moment. We apologize for the loss of service. We were installing security updates from Microsoft and somehow the passwords were fried in the process of rebooting the machine. Lawrence and Jake are working on it. I'll post a full report when we get things running normally.
