Its amazing to watch the amount of "consolidation" happening in relatively mature market spaces such as content management and CRM.  I get the feeling it has something to do with the fact that most companies have laid off a good percentage of their staff that would have been dedicated to building new products.  It appears that its both easier and quicker to buy another company and integrate then build and field new products on your own.  Stellent buys Optika.
