Manila 9.0.1 Released
UserLand Software today announced the release of Manila 9.0.1.
The release of Manila 9.0.1 marks the first major software update for UserLand since new management joined the company in December 2003 and it follows quickly on the heels of the recent announcement concerning a corporate restructuring at UserLand. Consistent with that transaction, the designation of the release was changed from Frontier 9.0.1 to Manila 9.0.1. (more on this to follow)
This new version of Manila offers users an improved product that is easier to install and much quicker to set-up. Changes include the addition of Stephen Tallent's excellent ODBC extension, turnkey community hosting with new administrative options, FTP based static rendering and static rendering of RSS feeds, and numerous performance and stability enhancements for larger installations.
We also added a new macro for the Manila's news item template which makes it possible to add Technorati Cosmos links to news item sites.
Here is a full list of changes in this release. Its on this page on the Manila website. Yeah...
