OK, this will sound like shameless promotion, but if you liked the new UserLand site, you will love the new Manila site. Its rich and vibrant, just like the product. Its not just the look of the site that has improved - we are busy advancing our flagship product. Adding features, improving the user interface, increasing stability, and generally working to make it the most powerful enterprise-class website and weblog publishing system known to man.  Shameless promotion, you bet.

Seriously, it has been really great for me to use Manila. Previous companies I have been with had teams of designers, graphics people, content / copy editors etc. Building a site and rolling it out was a long complicated process. Just making simple changes required significant effort, not to mention how expensive it was. I asked once to make some simple changes around a new product and was told I would need to get a quote from the Marketing Dept. just to get started. That process took weeks. With Manila, once we decided on the "theme" for the site, we rolled it into the existing content in a matter of hours. Separation of form from content REALLY has its advantages.
